guerillaclassics (2019)
Working with graphic designer Lydia Perrot, we collaborated on create a visual identity and functioning website for https://guerillaclassics.org/. I was able to create the front-end and back-end of the website, while creating a WordPress functionality for the client. The user experience and user interaction was done in partnership with Lydia and we believe that it represents the organization well.
How is classical music developing in the twenty-first century? How does a new generation of listeners want to experience classical music? Are there new opportunities to reach listeners who prefer rock and pop festivals to concert halls?
guerillaclassics was founded in July 2017 in order to organize high-quality performances of classical music in unconventional locations and to make them accessible to a young and heterogenous audience.
The community consists of an ever-increasing pool of professional musicians focused not just on delivering qualitatively outstanding performances but also on experimenting with unusual concert formats, as for example a percussion performance on a lake raft, a string quartet concert in the dark, or a collaboration between a string quartet, electronic-music DJs, and light-installation artists that saw the Zurich library designed by Santiago Calatrava transformed into a resonant body reminiscent of a space ship.
